Bagalkot District Unit

Bagalkot District NIC unit was formally set up in July 1998, year after the declaration of newly created district, Bagalkot.  Bagalkot was part of Bijapur district prior to August 1997.

In the early stages of its inception, NIC Bagalkot successfully completed Land Record Computerization, Zilla Panchayath Monthly activities and District Level Recruitment Committee selection process computerization. Also District Unit provided the basic NICNET communication facility.

Some of the activities carried out by NIC District Unit, Bagalkot

Ø      All the Land Records of six Taluka(blocks) are computerized.

Ø      Transactions on all the land records carried out using “Bhoomi” software.

Ø      Databases of Devadasi’s of the district computerized.

Ø      Database of slum dwellers of Bagalkot Town prepared with digital images.

Ø      The Sugarcane area demarcation of the district to all the sugar factories has been done using computerized databases. 

Ø      All the works taken up by all the implementing authorities have been digitized.

Ø      Online MP Funds and MLA Fund monitoring system with all project details.

Ø      Software for GP President and Vice president post reservation.

Ø      Software to identify violations under PTCL Act.

Ø      Recruitment software for Grama Panchayath Secretary post.

Future projects

Ø      Complete software for Deputy Commissioner Office covering all activities.

Ø      Info Kiosks for Power, Telephone and Municipal administration matters.

Ø      E-Sahaya Kendra for Public–Government Interface
